About Us: Summer O'Conner
Summer
O’Connor was born and raised in
Denver, Colorado.
Following high school, Summer
experienced many rich and
exciting adventures while
traveling. She journeyed across
the western U.S. by train,
toured Canada, explored British
Columbia’s splendor, and
backpacked over Alberta’s Rocky
Mountains. Summer also spent a
month in Peru, working on an
archaeological dig through the
Metropolitan State College of
Denver.
Following her travels, Summer
attended college and furthered
her burgeoning legal career. She
attended schools in Denver and
Seattle, where she studied
botany, sign language, and
writing. While living in
Seattle, Summer worked as
Executive Assistant for the
Chief Financial Officer and
General Counsel for a large
local shipyard.
Upon returning to Denver,
Summer has established herself
as a major player in both the
legal industry and in her
community. While providing
invaluable services to Katherine
Karuschkat, P.C., she has
volunteered her time to the
University of Colorado at
Boulder’s 30th Street
Greenhouse, where she helped
maintain the facility and cared
for certain species of plant
life. She also cooks a
ten-gallon bucket of soup for
the homeless community during
the holidays. Summer contributes
to her community financially as
well, donating to local radio
stations and organizations
sponsoring the deaf and blind
community.
Summer
has a number of interests that
keep her life fun and rewarding.
As a poet and a potter, Summer’s
memberships have included: the
Colorado Writer’s Guild; the
Seattle Poets’ Group, and
Pottery Northwest—an amazing
studio in Seattle. Summer also
enjoys bicycling, hiking,
backpacking, treasure hunts, and
making jewelry.
Clearly a hard-worker, Summer
will continue her education at
Metropolitan State College of
Denver, pursuing her goal to
become an accomplished writer on
issues concerning plants and the
environment.
With nearly ten years in the
legal field and so much passion
for life, Summer is truly an
asset to Katherine Karuschkat,
P.C. She brings both the
knowledge and dedication
necessary to help families
through turbulent times.
